Q
what is Materials Used as Filters
A
Filtration is one of the most common methods used to separate insoluble solids from liquids. In this process, a filter is used to trap solid particles while allowing the liquid to pass through.
Two commonly used materials for filtration are:
- Cotton cloth
- Filter paper
These materials have tiny pores that allow liquid to pass through while holding back solid particles. For example, tea leaves are removed from tea using a strainer or cloth filter.
