Why do we see only one side of the moon at all times?

Answer

The Moon revolves around the Earth (from West to East). The Moon also rotates on its axis. The time taken by the moon to complete one rotation and one revolution is the same –27 days and 6 hours. This is why we always see the same face of the Moon.
