Ans: Vasco da Gama was the Portuguese explorer. He was born in Sines, Portugal in 1469. The Portugal King, Emmanuel I ordered Vasco da Gama to complete his father’s historic voyage. In 1502, he destroyed the Arab trading centres in India and established Portuguese trading centres. He helped Portugal to become rich and famous.
