Dilute hydrochloric acid is produced in our stomach due to the digestion. Sometimes the acid will produce more in the case of over eating and it causes discomfort and some kind of irritation. The only remedy we can take is by having antacids which are weak bases and neutralizes the excess acid formed in our stomach.
