Answer
Ans. In a direct democracy, the citizens rule themselves. All the citizens assemble at one place from time to time and make law for themselves. In an indirect democracy, the citizens elect their representatives after a fixed interval of time and elect representatives to form the government and govern the administration. Direct democracy functions well in a small community where the citizens can actively participate in the working of the government, but less suited to a big country like India, USA and Canada etc.
