The second law of refraction, commonly called Snell's Law, states that the ratio of the sine of the angle of incidence to the sine of the angle of refraction is constant for a given pair of media. This constant is eual to the ratio of the refractive indices of the two media. This is the mathematical relationship: n₁ sin θ₁ = n₂ sin θ₂.
