The Full form of CMAT is Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). 

What is the CMAT Exam?

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level aptitude test conducted by NTA for admission to AICTE institutes for MBA/PGDM courses. Questions are asked from 5 chapters: Quantitative Techniques, including Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation, General Awareness, Language Comprehension, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Candidates must solve 100 questions in CMAT with 400 marks.

It must be noted that there is no longer an optional part in the CMAT exam. Innovation and entrepreneurship, an optional last year, was included as a compulsory section this year. Eligibility Criteria for CMAT

• Nationality: Only Indian citizens can apply for this exam. Applicants with other citizenships are not eligible to take the CMAT exam.

• Age Limit: There is no age limit for the CMAT exam as per the official notification.

• Educational Qualification: The candidate should be a graduate, i.e., have a degree in any discipline from any recognised university. If a student who is in final year, you are also eligible for this exam.

Selection Process for CMAT

Once the result is released, the following steps will be included for admission into the top colleges in India through the CMAT Exam. Following is the selection procedure for the CMAT

• Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)

• Screening of candidates based on CMAT percentile

• Selection of candidates for admission based on a Score

For final selection, different steps are taken into consideration like

CMAT Syllabus

There are five sections in the CMAT syllabus, including Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
