Write a paragraph in 120-150 words on the topic ‘My Last Summer Holiday’.

Summer vacations are always filled with fun and frolic. We eagerly wait for it every year to move to an ideal destination. My parents always plan our vacation in advance. This time they’d planned a two-week holiday trip to Assam and intended to show me the ancestral home of my grandfather. I considered it as a great plan as I’ve heard a lot about the village and its scenic beauty. So the next day when my school got closed, we packed our bags and marched towards our destination. It’s a 2hrs flight from Delhi to Guwahati. We visited the state zoo, museum, kalakshetra and the famous temples that are a part of this beautiful city. We also visited Umananda- an ancient Shiva temple, located on a small island in the midst of the river Brahmaputra. We’d taken a boat ride to reach there. It was really fun. The most exciting part of my trip was the visit to my grandpa’s village. I’ve never seen such rich paddy fields. The caretaker of the house arranged lovely meals. We did a lot of fishing there. The days have passed-by and it was time to bid adieu to everyone who made this vacation so special and memorable. I look forward for summer holidays every year.
