What are the different means of mass communication? Explain the relative importance of them.

Ans. There are various means of mass communications like radio, television, press etc. which provide information and entertainment to the people. They are called mass media together.

Radio: Radio is the cheapest and the most effective means of transferring knowledge. In today’s world radio is providing lot of information to the people.

Television: It is the most affective way of communication because with help of this people can directly in touch with events and action. In contemporary time of competition there a lot of channel who are providing quality information.

Press: Press is the oldest way to spread information among the public but it is still very effective way of information.

Cinema: cinema is another most important way of spreading awareness among masses. The affect of cinema can be seen very vastly among the youngsters e.g Rang De Basanti which flair the youth some time back.

All these means of communication play an importance role in bringing about nation integration by uniting the people politically, economically and culturally.
