Ans: The President is elected indirectly by the people. He is the First Citizen of the country. The President is the real head of the state conferred with absolute executive powers. Executive and legislature are not interrelated. And they work independently. The Council of Ministers has only an advisory body to the President. It is the duty of the Prime Minister to communicate to the President all decisions of the Council of Ministers.
