How is the speaker of the Lok Sabha elected?

The speaker of the Lok Sabha is elected by the members of parliament in the first sitting
of a new government. He/she belongs to the party having majority in the Lok Sabha. He/
she is supported to conduct proceeding of Parliament in an impartial manner.
