How does Ladakh get rainfall?

Ans. The rainfall in the Ladakh region is due to the height of the Greater Himalayas. The water laden winds struck here and causes rain here. Winter is the season in which most of the rainfall takes place at here. In the winter season winds from the Mediterranean region comes with the moisture and able to enter from the passes of the Great Himalayas and cause rain here. In the summer season almost no rainfall occurs in the Ladakh region. In this season most of the supply of water comes through the melting of the snow on the higher altitudes.
