How does ADH regulate blood osmolarity through feedback mechanisms?

When blood osmolarity rises above 300 mOsm/L, osmoreceptors in the hypothalamus stimulate thirst and trigger the pituitary gland to release ADH. ADH increases water reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule, diluting blood and restoring osmolarity. When osmolarity falls below the set point, ADH secretion is inhibited, maintaining homeostasis.
