Write a note on the efforts of Rashasundari Devi to educate herself.

Rashasundari Devi was born in west Bengal innthe year 1800. She was a house wife from a rich land lord family. At that time it was believed that if a woman learnt to read and write, she would bring bad luck to her hauband and bcome a widow. Despite this she taught herself to read and write in secret after her marriage. When she was 60 year- old, she wrote her autobiography in Bangla. Her book titled Amar Jiban is the first known autobiography written by an Indian woman.
