Why did Muhammad bin Tughlaq token currency failed?

Ans. Muhammad bin Tughlaq introduced bronze coin as token currency due to scarcity of silver coin. These coins had the same value as the silver coin so traders, businessmen and people started to forge the new coins by making duplicate coins. At last Muhammad bin Tughlaq withdrew those coins.
