What is the composition of Gram Panchayat?

Answer
Every village having a population of 500 people consists of a village panchayat.
It is formed by the members elected by the people of villages.
The members of Panchayat are called Panchas and its head is known as Sarpanch to
be elected for three years.
The number of members should be minimum 5 or maximum 10.
Every panchayat must have one female candidate and one or two members from
SCs.
