What are the dual responsibilities of some MLA’s?

Some MLAs have dual responsibilities. Firstly, they act as representatives of their constituency. In this role, they listen to the problems of the people, raise issues in the Legislative Assembly, and work for the development of their area. Secondly, some MLAs are appointed as ministers in the government. As ministers, they are responsible for specific departments such as health, education, or transport. Thus, they perform two roles—one as a lawmaker and another as an administrator.
