How are the members of a Legislative Assembly elected?

 The members of the Legislative Assembly are elected by the people of concerned
states on the basis of Universal Adult Franchise.
 Every state is divided into the constituencies on the basis of population.
 Every constituency elects only one member.
 Only those voters can participate in the election whose name is there in the voters’
list.
