Political ScienceClass 7AllAnswered 12 Apr 2026
Answer
The Chief Minister is the most powerful authority in the state government. Similar to how the Prime Minister functions at the national level, the Chief Minister leads the state government. All major decisions are taken under his or her leadership. The Chief Minister is the leader of the majority party and must have the confidence of the Legislative Assembly. As long as the Chief Minister enjoys the support of the majority, he or she continues in office.
