Ans. Delhi was administrative and cultural center of India during medieval period because of ruling class and nobility. There for a center for making money, so the goods flowed in Delhi from all the directions. The huge quantities of rice from east , sugar from Kanauj, wheat from Doab and fine silk from south, apart fro these cotton textiles, metal wares, ornaments, ivory etc, also cargos from Arab, east Africa, Sri Vijaya (Indonesia) and China reached Delhi.
