Step-by-step path:
Step 1 — Complete MBBS (5.5 years):
- 4.5 years of medical education + 1 year mandatory rotating internship
- Register with State Medical Council after internship
Step 2 — Appear for NEET-PG:
- National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (conducted by the National Board of Examinations)
- All-India competitive exam; rank determines seat allocation
Step 3 — Counseling and seat allotment:
